ABOUT RIGGS

Just two days before Christmas of 2009 at the young age of 7, Riggs past away after a long fight with Limes desease. Riggs was my son Tyler's dog and will be well remembered for her charming personality and her unequaled desire to find birds. She was perhaps the greatest chocolate lab to ever ever played the tournament hunting game. She would hunt and hunt well for anyone anywhere regardless of the conditions.

She was the favorite of some of the world's greatest Tournament Hunters like Mark Sweeney and Jamie Gunn. Riggs had a great nose and could mark as good as any Master Hunter. Riggs now hunts for Jesus and will truley be missed in our home.

In March of 2010, "Tyler's Bird Dog Riggs" was entered into the "THCC Hall of Fame" at their 2009 Nationals. Riggs will always be remembered for being an over-achiever. She was the perfect tournament dog...asking for nothing but always giving her handlers a 120%.

SUMMARY OF RIGGS' MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

RIGGS has achieved THCC "Legendary" Hall of Fame status having well over 550 Championship points throughout her Bird Dog Challenge career. Yes, Riggs is a she.

Riggs has 1 Super Major Win and has placed in the top three in over 100 professional bird dog hunting tournaments.
Riggs has 10 top five finishes in Super Majors.
Riggs holds over forty 1st Place titles.
Riggs took 2nd Place in the World Championships
Riggs took 2nd Place at the US Open in the youth division under the handling of my step-son Tyler Slove. WAY TO GO TYLER!
RIGGS in just her second professional hunting event at the young age of 9 months old, wins 1st Place at THE AMERICAN FLUSHING CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Hunter Division) at the American Heritage Hunt Club. She and one other dog had perfect scores of 154. The tie-breaker is then the total retrieve time for 4 shot birds measured from the time of the shot, to the time the bird is placed in the handlers' hand. Riggs' total retrieve time for 4 shots birds was just 29.86 seconds or an average retrieve time of 7.46 seconds.
Riggs wins her first NBDCA Event with a 1st Place in Doubles at the NBDCA Flat farm event in Van Wert, OH. on 9/13/04.

AT THE 2004 NBDCA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS RIGGS WINS 1st PLACE IN THE HUNTER DIVISION WITH A PERFECT SCORE OF 153 AND A TOTAL RETRIEVE TIME FOR THREE SHOT BIRDS OF 14.85 SECONDS.
ALSO AT THE 2004 NBDCA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS RIGGS TAKES SECOND PLACE IN THE DOUBLES OPEN DIVISION.

2006 NBDCA Qualifier 1/21/06 at Bear Lake Kennels 1st Place Singles
2006 TOP GUN Championships at Little Creek Riggs finishes 3rd overall after finishing 1st out of 88 dogs in the qualifying rounds. She ran runs of 2:12 & 3:15 to qualify for the top 10 run off.

The remainder of 2006 Riggs goes on a winning streak of 10 wins across the next four months finishing out another great year.
In 2007 due to my heavy work schedule we did not run many events yet Riggs still managed fourteen top 3 finishes across various National Qualifiers.
